Students’ voices in NWT

By letting students create their own articles, the project aims to strengthen their source-critical skills, their understanding of journalism and their democratic participation. The project also contributes new knowledge about how young people’s own media production affects their engagement in the local community.

The goal is to develop a sustainable model for collaboration between schools and local journalism that strengthens young people’s participation in public debate.

As Värmland’s largest newsroom, we want to help young people realise how fun AND IMPORTANT journalism is – and also give young people the opportunity to publish their own articles with us.
