Voice4You was awarded funding from the Swedish Institute for the project Preparation for Empowering Young Voices of Ukraine (PreYoU). The project showed that Mobile Stories Newsroom works in a Ukrainian context and laid the foundation for a long-term collaboration between Sweden and Ukraine, focusing on young people’s media and information literacy, storytelling, trust in sources and digital citizenship.

The aim was to strengthen young people’s resilience to disinformation and help safeguard democratic values at a time when the Ukrainian media landscape faces major challenges.

Collaboration with Kunsht

In the project, Voice4You collaborated with the Ukrainian organisation Kunsht, which works with science communication, critical thinking and storytelling to inspire young people’s civic engagement. Together, we set out to map needs, identify obstacles and develop methods for how Swedish and Ukrainian actors can best support young people in Ukraine.

Project period

The project period was 1 December 2025 – 15 June 2026.

Why the project was important

The Swedish Institute supports collaborations between Swedish and Ukrainian actors that contribute to Ukraine’s reconstruction, EU integration and increased democratic resilience. Through PreYoU, Voice4You and Kunsht aimed to provide new knowledge and long-term solutions to strengthen young people’s ability to navigate today’s complex information environment.
